The items you will need to create an image similar to this are as follows...

A white piece of card to reflect the light and a black piece of cloth to put over the white card which will be your backdrop.

A glass of water and a peg (using the water will keep the flower looking fresh at all times).

Natural light and a flat surface preferably near a well lit window.

Tripod, macro lens or similar.

Stand the white card against something solid, drape the black cloth over the top of the card (or any other colour cloth you want to use).

Arrange the flower in the glass of water to your desire (use a peg to hold the flower still or even tilt the flower at an angle to be more creative ... be careful while using your camera near water, I have had a few lucky escapes myself).

Keeping the glass with the flower in at least 30cm/12 inches away from the black backdrop (if you can get even further away from the black backdrop this will create the backdrop to look even more blacker in your finished image).

Using your camera on a tripod you can now compose your image within the frame (if you have taken the image and you feel it is still a little to dark you can use the pop up flash to fill with more light or use pieces of white card to reflect more light where needed)..

Now your image is finished, you can experiment with more flowers or other subjects and have lots more fun.

Enjoy !
